The Riverside Inn was reviewed by Ewan Parker on . A good Sunday dinner in pleasant surroundings. Being a Sunday, we spent our usual time finding somewhere new to eat. For a change we went to the city centre. There was a choice of three meats at different prices and I chose the cheapest of these three: pork. A few minutes after serving the waiter brought out an additional plate of Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes, saying the chef thought our portions were too small. I think he saw the missus taking pictures of the food! Anyway, the highlight was the roast potatoes which were actually crispy, and also had a subtle hint of rosemary. The portion of meat was not ungenerous and came with its fat, but no crackling. With the additional portion I was absolutely stuffed!

Overall I will give the Riverside Inn a rating of 4.5 out of 5 for their Sunday dinner.
