In part1 we registered with DECUServe. I have waited nearly a week so it's about time to register for my hobbyist licence.
Using the notes as guidance, choose DECUServe as the participating chapter and your DECUServe subscriber number without the leading US as your membership number. Choose a license type of OpenVMS VAX/Alpha, fill in the remaining fields, and hit Submit. You will see the following message.
Thanks for registering! We'll be responding soon.
Now you must wait. After an hour I received an email from HP with the PAK attached as a DCL file. This license can be used for multiple systems. You will need to reply to the email to request a pointer to the kit download. Once you have this pointer, download the files via FTP.
The next step will be to start the emulation and boot.
