Apple said it planned to hire an additional 20,000 staff in the US over the next four years as part of a $500 billion American investment plan. President Trump "implied that the iPhone maker is investing locally because it does not want to pay tariffs," reports Bloomberg. They add pointedly that Apple "didn't say whether the new investments were already underway before Trump's win."
